We’re expanding remote roles too and the biggest win was a 12‑minute Loom “Day 1” that folks can watch anytime, then a 10‑minute live check via https://calendly.com to verify access and expectations (keeps training flexible). Small caveat: we disable same‑day bookings so trainers aren’t juggling time zones.

But quick tip that’s worked for us: we schedule a 15‑minute “sandbox shift” where new remote volunteers use test records in our CRM to trigger dedupe prompts and practice resolving them… It’s made Day 1 smoother than any video, but the trade‑off is we spend about 10 minutes each Friday resetting the sandbox and permissions.
