We’re kicking off our fall volunteer drive next Saturday at the community center, and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s a great opportunity to dive into local projects, meet new friends, and make a real impact. If you’re interested, come by at 10 AM to learn more about various roles and how you can help.
I joined a similar drive last year, and it was such a great way to connect with people in the community. I’d recommend bringing a friend along; it makes the experience even more enjoyable and you can both tackle tasks together. If you get involved, you might also want to ask about ongoing projects — some can really benefit from long-term volunteers.
I remember volunteering at a local event where we ended up having a pizza party afterward — definitely a great way to bond with everyone! Bringing a friend is a smart idea; it adds to the fun. Any chance you have a favorite project you’d like to get involved with @vthornton88?
You might want to check out what roles fit your skills best before the kickoff. Last fall, I volunteered for a project that used my graphic design skills, which made it a lot more fun for me. Definitely reach out to the organizers if you have specific interests; they’ll help you find the right spot.
